Brenzone - Culture
In Castelletto the church of San Zen de l’Oselét and the Mother House of the Little Sisters of the Holy Family are both worth a visit. In Biasa you can visit the Church of Sant’Antonio, which was built during the Roman era, the frescoes of the Church of San Nicola in Assenza and the parish church of Castello, which houses an image of the Madonna that is considered miraculous. The wonderful old centres of the various towns are definitely worth a visit, with their shops and traditional establishments. Several mountain refuges dot the slopes of Monte Baldo and should be visited, such as Rifugio Chirego situated at 1910 metres on the Costabella peak and Rifugio Telegrafo at 2200 m. Amongst the most important people from this area we must mention Blessed Giuseppe Nascimbeni, born in Torri del Benaco and founder of the religious order of the Little Sisters of the Holy Family.
